Naked Fish

Tonight my neighbor Abeer and I went to try the new sushi joint in town, "Naked Fish." I've driven by it a few times and have so looked forward to this night! Hanging out with Abeer is always a good time. She and I share the same international heart...she seems to always be up for an adventure, and has lived in many countries (she's from Saudi Arabia). Tonight at NF, we were hanging out and talking, sharing 3 rolls of sushi, and it was like we were in another world. Suddenly I didn't feel like I was in College Station anymore. The atmosphere made me feel like I was in another city, possibly another country. A semi-Sheffield throw back if you will, because of all the internationals in Sheffield.

Well we tried the signature Naked Fish roll, and a Philly roll...and the Manhattan roll. Well I'm not taking ANY credit for the Manhattan roll. The NF was exceptional, the Manhattan had some interesting things in it. After we were 3/4 of the way through the roll we realized we had a "friend" in there. As we disected the roll we found out that it was a crab - LEGS INTACT. Bizarre. I mean I know we eat shrimp and they have their tails on them, but this for some reason was way crazier to me. Especially when we didn't know what it was and then upon further review (the call on the field stands - haha j/k) I discovered it was a crab BECAUSE I could tell it had the 8 legs still bent like crabs do. AHHHH.

Anyway, it was a great night. Here's some pics from the evening.
