Our God is GREATER

So yesterday I emailed my committee chair for my thesis and asked about when would be a good time to turn in my thesis to him before my defense. His reply: March 26th.

I managed to get a few more words in my email to him, but the most important first two were:
HOLY MOLEY!

I am in the process of working out an April 19/20 morning defense date with my committee. So far 2 of the 3 are game on...which means, I'll be turning in my thesis March 29th. 12-13 possible days to work on it, including today, and obviously excluding the 7 days I'm in Nicaragua.

In case you were wondering where I am in the whole thing, I've completed 8 of 10 interviews.
I've finished Ch. 1 but it was my proposal so I have to switch it to past tense.
I've finished Ch. 3 but there's a little to be added, and some APA corrections to make.

That still leaves roughly 70 pages. I'm trying (and this was my plan before the bombshell) to finish Ch. 4 (30-60 pages) by the time I leave for Nicaragua (luckily I'm all packed up!)

I tell you all this mainly because you will know that if I finish this on time, it is because of God's grace. That's not a churchy answer or me trying to be more Spiritual or whatever...that's just the truth. And WHEN I finish (because I'm having faith here) I will stand in awe of that miracle just as much as you, probably more, because it just seems unreal.

My theme song though is a new song I heard a few weeks ago that was apparently at Passion 2010 in January. It's called "Our God" by Chris Tomlin; if you haven't heard it, it was just released today and I highly recommend getting it.

Water you turned into wine
opened the eyes of the blind
there's no one like you
none like you

Into the darkness you shine
out of the ashes we rise
there is no one like you
none like you

Chorus:

Our God is greater
Our God is stronger
God you are higher than any other
Our God is Healer
Awesome in power
Our God
Our God

Into the darkness you shine
out of the ashes we rise
there is no one like you
none like you
Chorus

Bridge:

and if our God is for us
then who could ever stop us
and if our God is with us
then what could stand against

bearing up under it,
db

  2. Bearing up under it.... do i hear a little bit of Wayne coming out of ya?? :) If you ever feel like you want to quit, just picture Wayne in his maroon suit, squatting down, saying we are called to "bear up under trial" ... Hopefully it will bring a smile to your face!
